Sichere Verbindungen innerhalb der Rohrinstallation
Lötfittings aus Kupfer dienen dem Verbinden von Kupferrohren ebenso wie dem Erstellen von Anschlüssen oder Übergängen. Kupferrohre gehören aufgrund ihrer zahlreichen Vorteile nach wie vor zu den meistgenutzten Materialien in der Rohrleitungsinstallation. Die natürlichen Eigenschaften des Kupfers, wie lange Haltbarkeit und hohe thermische Belastbarkeit, machen den Werkstoff zum idealen Material für Installationen aller Art. Dazu gehören vielfältige Anwendungsfälle in der Sanitärtechnik, der Gasversorgung, der Solartechnik oder der Heizungsinstallation.
Zudem werden Kupferrohre aufgrund ihrer gesundheitlichen Unbedenklichkeit bereits seit Jahrzehnten erfolgreich in der Trinkwasserinstallation eingesetzt. Rohre und Fittings im Bereich der Trinkwasserversorgung müssen für diesen Einsatzbereich geeignet und zugelassen sein. Eine entsprechende Zertifizierung des Deutschen Vereins des Gas- und Wasserfaches, kurz DVGW, stellt sicher, dass die Fittings das sensible Medium Trinkwasser nicht negativ beeinflussen. Wenngleich das moderne Verpressen von Kupferleitungen zeitsparender und mit weniger Aufwand verbunden ist, hat das Lötverfahren in vielen Bereichen immer noch seine Berechtigung. Eine sorgsam verlötete Rohrverbindung ist hochbelastbar und absolut langlebig. Je nach Einsatzgebiet und Art der Rohrinstallation können Fitting und Rohr dabei im Weichlotverfahren oder im Hartlotverfahren verbunden werden.

Sollen zwei Kupferrohre oder Stangen verbunden werden, ist die Lötmuffe der passende Fittingtyp. Die Muffe sorgt für eine sichere Verbindung der beiden Rohrabschnitte und lässt sich einfach verlöten. Rotgussfittings – eine weitere Variante des Lötfittings
Zwar ist Kupfer für die Herstellung von Rohren und Fittings bestens geeignet, allerdings lassen sich vor allem Gewinde mit dem eher weichen Material nur schwer realisieren. An dieser Stelle kommen Fittings aus Rotguss zum Einsatz, die sich mit Kupferrohren ideal kombinieren und problemlos verlöten lassen. Rotguss-Lötfittings stehen zu diesem Zweck in verschiedenen Formen und Ausführungen zur Verfügung.

Hierzu gehören beispielsweise Übergangsbögen und Übergangsnippel, die zur Anbindung der Kupferrohrinstallation an gewindebasierte Rohrsysteme dienen können, oder den zuverlässigen Anschluss von Komponenten mit Anschlussgewinde sicherstellen. Rotguss-Übergansbögen bewirken zugleich eine Richtungsänderung innerhalb der Rohrinstallation. Diese Fittings sind in unterschiedlichen Ausführungen und mit zahlreichen Gewindedurchmessern als Innengewinde und Außengewinde erhältlich.
