Over roof ventilation using roof fans

Roof fans are installed on building roofs, directly above the waste air shaft or above a waste air line. They are used to ventilate rooms that are connected to the respective exhaust shaft or to the appropriate pipe system. In this case, the complete fan unit with the motor and electrical connection is over the roof. The roof fan is usually fixed over its base plate, which is provided with appropriate holes for this purpose. An appropriate flat roof socket is often used for mounting a roof fan on a flat roof to effectively prevent potential water or snow ingress into the air shaft.
