- AdBlue® is a urea solution that is injected directly into the exhaust gas to reduce pollutants. In the catalytic converter, AdBlue® takes effect by converting the nitrogen oxides from the catalytic converter into atmospheric nitrogen and water vapour. Both are natural components of the air we breathe. Furthermore, AdBlue® in combination with SCR technology optimises the fuel consumption and particulate emissions of the engines. This way, the proportion of soot particles in the exhaust gases can be greatly reduced.
